CA 70.3

April 3, 2009

This year's Iron Prayer Service again took place near the CA 70.3 Expo on the beautiful sands of Oceanside.  It was an intimate group that gathered to worship the Lord in song, hear some awesome speakers and to spend time praying for each other.

Ed and Linda of St Anne’s Anglican Church

Ed and Linda led us through some of our favorite worship songs and set the tone for our time with the Lord.  They did a wonderful job!

Troy Soares

FCA Endurance Iron Prayer

Troy talked about how often in our walk with the Lord we want to leave him out of the picture.  We think we are too "busy" with our big race to take the time to be with him.  In these times God may send us a wake up call in a race and we just might be angry that He's not doing what we want.  We need to always keep him center so that we can know His will and know how we can glorify Him.

Jose Campos

Mt. Carmel High School FCA Leader & Wrestling Coach

Jose talked about his days as a "knucklehead" kid and his adventures in the early days of triathlon.  He went on to talk about our faith and spelled it out.

Brad Seng

Professional Triathlete

Brad talked about having humility.  In each of his 3 races at CA 70.3, he was "served some humble pie".   These trials served as a way to really "take notice of God's plan" for him.  He related that we can wake up each day and say "Good Morning God!" or we can say "Good God Morning!"  And he believes in waking up each and every day praising God and saying the former.  Brad talked about FCA's question to all of us "why do you race".  Listen in a find out more about Brad's CA 70.3 challenges and why he races...
