went good! I haven't done track and it's easily noticeable. At times I felt good and
wanted to go faster but didn't know how to make the turn-over pick up. At other times it
felt really hard. But it was a nice day. Side ache at 5mi was unusual, just about had to
stop, wow, must not be used to fast running. It was hard to break the 6min barrier, but I
maintained well for a 37:37. It was a packed race but start was well run and jostling was minimum. The cups at the aid stations were un-bend-able so every mouthfull was a shower. The IT band stayed quiet but seemed like it was ready to wake up at times. I just tried to hush it to sleep and not let it know there was a race going on :) It was a fun time, during and afterwards, but I had to high-tail it out of there to make church. My calves are pretty sore now but feel good otherwise. Good job to Dick, Todd, Artus (K.E.); Clint, Doug (Tri Guys); Nadine (sorry I missed you); Bob & Jim (T-N-T) |
